Her husband of 56 years, Alvin York Callahan, predeceased her in August 2007. Jeanette was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived in the Detroit area until retiring to Palmetto, Florida in 1989. CAMPBELL WILLIAM CAMPBELL Age 85 of West Bloomfield; passed away on December 22, 2008. As a first-lieutenant, Bill served in the US Army Aircorps during WWII as a C-47 pilot in Asia and North Africa. Furthermore, he was a member of the Edgewood Country Club, and was the owner of WB Campbell Sales. In his earlier years, Bill attended Wayne State University, and still to this day, was active with the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was an accomplished musician, and in high school and college he organized the "Bill Campbell Orchestra", which he played at many venues throughout the Detroit area. Bill also loved to play golf, and over the years became quite good. Loving husband of 63 years to Miriam "Mims" Campbell; proud father of Dr. William D. Campbell, Robert J. (Nancy) Campbell and Cindy (Ralph) Thelen; dear grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of three. He is also survived by many cousins, relatives and friends.
