ALBERT DONALD G ALBERT MD DONALD ALBERT MD 84, of Harbor Springs, MI passed away on December 6, 2008 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey, MI. Dr. Albert was the loving father of, Donald G. Albert, JR (Alice), Laurie Albert Williams (Guy), William R. Albert, (Susan), Julie Zoerhof and Sarah Albert. Grandfather of Alexis, Tyler, Zell, Neal, Eva, Ayla, Zoey and Great-Grandfather of Maddox. He was born in Susquehanna, PA, attended Penn State University and received his medical degree from Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. He was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Dr. Albert was a longtime resident of Bloomfield Hills and Torch Lake, MI. He had a private practice in internal medicine specializing in cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. He previously held positions as: Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University; Director of Visiting Nurses Association, President of Michigan Heart Association, Medical Director of AAA of Michigan and Director of the Middlebelt Nursing Home. The Albert family would like to express their sincerest gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Bay Bluffs in Harbor Springs for the wonderful care they provided over the last two years. Also; a thank you to the staff at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital for the care and treatment that was given. The family will be having a memorial service at a later date in Susquehanna, PA. ARIM MAURICE J ARIM MAURICE ARIM MAURY ARIM December 19, 2008 Age 91. Maury grew up in Detroit and graduated from St. Leo's High School in 1936. He joined Ross Roy Advertising in Detroit, beginning a life long career in professional photography. During WWII he served in an observation battalion in the European Theater, November 1, 1943 to December 8, 1945. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. After the war Maury returned to Ross Roy Inc. where he advanced to Director of Photography and head of the photographic department. Survived by loving wife Norma "Mickey" to whom he was married for 62 years. Dear father of Barbara Wagner (Thomas), Elizabeth Palms (Stephen), William (Kristin), and Robert (Carolin). Brother of Laurie and Michael Ashburn. Uncle of Spencer Ashbur, Natalie, Tara, Matt, and Kevin Behnke, Kenan, Kyle and Jack Daly. Devoted friend of Deborah DeLaurier. He is predeceased by his parents Harvey and Betty Ashburn. Though mourning his passing, a vast and diverse community celebrate the life of a wonderful man, designer, and friend. Private services will be held in Dresden, Ontario, Canada. ATCHOO DR PETER ATCHOO Age 78, died at his home on December 14, 2008. He leaves behind his wife Dr. Nathima Atchoo, and his children Dr. Faris, Fanar Wright, Firas and Fawaz. Dr. Atchoo practiced Opthalmology in Waterford and Lake Orion. He was a graduate from the School of Medicine in Bagdad in 1953. His Funeral Mass will be today at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church, West Bloomfield, at 10 a.m. Donations to the Leader Dogs for the Blind. Arrangements entrusted to Southfield Funeral Home.

ATTAWAY JAMES FLOYD ATTAWAY JAMES ATTAWAY Age 79, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, died at home December 27, under the compassionate care of Arbor Hospice, following several years of ill health. Jim is survived by his wife, Doris; son, Stephen J. Attaway; daughter, Karen M. Attaway; son-in-law, Martin P. Wolfertz; and grandchildren, Meredith (James) Rogers and John (Amy) Attaway. Jim received his MBA from the University of Michigan in 1953 followed by a 55-year career in public accounting. Some of his clients were with him for more than 30 years, passing through two to three generations. Funeral services are private with a memorial service at a later date.
