Born November 27, 1957 to Pauline and Fred Swanson of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Denise was one of five children. Denise graduated from L'Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township Michigan. On August 24, 1984 she married Bruce Kennedy. He passed away in 2005.
