For more than fifty years, Professor Emeritus Jean Fair was a national leader in social studies education. She joined the faculty at Wayne State University, heading up the doctoral program at Wayne in Education. A memorial service will be held at the Dearborn Congregational Church, 16350 Rotunda Dr., Friday, November 21, 11 a.m. Memorials are suggested to the church.

       82 years of age. Husband of the late Retha (June 24, 1987); loving

         father of Loretta Sherman and Sarah (Jon) Shearer; special grandfather

       to Luke (Leigh) Sherman and Cora (Chris) Klann; great grandfather of

      Grace; brother of Bud, Doug, Elizabeth, Brenda, Joyce, Ann and Bill.

       Preceded in death by son-in-law Joseph Sherman and great grand

       daughter Haley Reed Sherman. Mr. Fleenor was a Veteran of the U.S.

Beloved husband of Leilani for 5 1/2 years; loving father of Aimee (Joel) King, Karrie Caldwell, Cristeen (Andy) Heise and the late Kelly Forster; dearest son of Robert and Barbara Forster and the late Marion Forster; son-in-law of Peter and Wanda Ford; dear brother of Kenneth (Mary) Forster, Eileen (Robin) Castonguay, Elaine (Robert) Rose and Ellen (Jose) Gutierrez; also survived by 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. FORSYTH PRISCILLA IRENE FORSYTH PRISCILLA FORSYTH Age 57, of Alpena, passed away November 9, 2008 in Alpena. Survived by three sons, Ryan (Rania), Mark, Nick (Kim); eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Tom) Egner, Kathy Hill, and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.

FOSTER RICHARD FOSTER DICK FOSTER 77, died November 11, 2008 of complications from surgery in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was born in Detroit and formerly resided in Bloomfield Township. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife, Revera of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Debra (Ben) Malson and Denise (Joseph) Fink; son, James Foster; brother Robert (Betty) Foster; grandchildren; Kristina Foster, Amy (Andrew) Fly, David Malson. His sister, Dorothy Ivans; brother, Morris Foster; and his grandson, LT Adam Malson, predeceased him. Richard was a Shrine Mason and a past member of the MDNA and AMDA during his thirty years as a machinery dealer in the Detroit/Metro area.
