INTIHAR ILENE J INTIHAR ILENE INTIHAR April 1, 1929 - January 17, 2009. A private family gathering will be held at a later date for Irene J. Intihar, 79, of Granville, formerly of Detroit Michigan. Ilene passed away peacefully after a prolonged illness, Saturday, January 17, 2009 at SharonBrooke Inn in Newark. She was born in Detroit April 1, 1929 to the late Louis and Jennie (Kosnik) Urban. A retired school teacher with the Livonia Michigan School system, Ilene, earned her bachelor's degree in social work in 1950 at Mary Grove College in Detroit. She furthered her education earning a master's degree in education at Wayne State University. As an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, Ilene contributed generously to the Detroit Institute of Art and to the Detroit Metropolitan Opera and was an active docent for several Detroit area museums and theaters. After moving to Ohio, Ilene became a supporting member of the Columbus Art Institute and the Columbus Area Performing Arts Council. Being active in her community, Ilene helped to arrange for Jose Feliciano to sing the National Anthem at Detroit Tiger Stadium causing a national controversy. She was a world traveler visiting all continents with her family and the Nomads. She enjoyed seeing the Beatles in Helsinki, prior to their arrival in the United States, and being one of the first to fly from Detroit to Paris on the Concorde. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie Mumma MF.A. and Paul Mumma D.O. of Granville and her grandchildren, Casey Ilene and Christopher Louis Mumma. In addition to her parents, Ilene was preceded in death by her former husband Victor Intihar of Detroit. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Human Society, 40 E. IRBY JENNIFER J IRBY JENNIFER IRBY 28, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away January 1, 2009. She was born November 21, 1980 in Owosso, MI. Jen graduated from Troy High School in 1999, and Western Michigan University in 2004, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in the Integrated Supply Matrix Management program. Jen played the tuba in the marching band at both schools. In 2005 she became an Associate Material Planner and later a Sourcing Analyst at Ryerson in Chicago. Jen was also a member of the Chicago chapter of the Association of Women in the Metal Industry, and served on their board. Jen was a passionate person able to overcome any obstacle to succeed and improve the lives of those around her, a funny and amazing woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She loved to visit the Beluga whales at the Shedd Aquarium, and also enjoyed relaxing at home with her loved ones: partner Brandon and cats, Daniko, Mooface and Grayhead. Preceding her in death are her beloved maternal grandfather and her canine companion Sparty. Jen is survived by her mother, Connie; brother, Andrew (Amy); grandmother, Luetta; father Earl (Bonnie), pets Shelby, Daniko, Mooface and Grayhead, her best friend and partner Brandon Lewis and countless friends. IRELAND STEWART H IRELAND STEWART IRELAND Age 85, of Clinton Twp. Beloved husband of Jean Ireland. Dear father of Stewart (Kristy) Ireland, Jr., Suzanne (John) Guttowsky, Paula Ireland, Catherine (Ron) Plichta, Angela (Robert) Mertens, Helen (Glen) Knoblock, Mary Jo (Michael) Pezzini, Marcia (Robert) Golab, Christopher (Lisa) Ireland. Loving stepfather of Steven (Karolyn) Arant and James (Joan) Arant. Survived by 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Loving brother of Morley, Robert, and Gordon Ireland, and Martha Parker. Predeceased by son, Stephen, granddaughter MaryJo Mertens, stepson, David Arant, brothers George and Charles. ISOM WOODROW TRAVIS ISOM WOODROW ISOM July 2, 1917 - January 18, 2009. Age 91. Son of the late Janie Sullivan and the late brother, Fotch Isom. Loving and devoted husband of Rose Marie Isom for 58 years. Loving and devoted father of Vickie Jane. Loving and devoted grandfather of Kimberly and Brian. Loving great grandfather of Marissa, McKenzie, Marleigh, Joshua and Julia. Woodrow "W. T" Isom attended Auburn University then went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War II. He then became a member of the Teamsters Local #51 working 10 years for Mills Bakery. He worked hard all his life for his family. He then went on to become his own business owner. He owned an A&W Restaurant in Carleton, Michigan for 18 years until he sold the business and retired. He lives on in our hearts and mind and will be sadly missed by all and never forgotten. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather anyone could ever have asked for. In lieu of flowers donations to his wife Rose Isom would be greatly appreciated.
