GATT MICHAEL L GATT MICHAEL GATT Age 89, of Novi, formerly of Westland and Livonia. Died January 10, 2009. He was born November 28, 1919 on the Island of Malta, immigrated to America at the age of 7. He later served his country in the U.S. Army/Air Force during WWII, acquiring the rank of Captain. Mr. Gatt was a long time member of the Livonia Singles over Sixty (SOS) club as well as the Saturday night dancing Moondusters, and had many friends from these activities. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marie, in 1988. Surviving are his sons, Michael (Kathy) and Robert (Susan) his daughters Julie (Timothy) Mack and Mary (Marc) Lorrain. Also surviving are his grandchildren Michael, Jacqueline, Robert, Mary, Andrea, Douglas, Gregory, Kellie, Kaitlin, Christopher, Steven, Emily and his great grandchildren Michael, Katie and Nicholas. GAUCHE JOSEPH A GAUCHE JOSEPH GAUCHE Age 82, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at Bortz Health Care in Rose City. Joseph resided in Lupton and was formerly of Roseville, MI. He was born October 27, 1926 in Detroit to George and Mary (Pokrefky) Gauche. He married Gertrude Wingerson August 21, 1948. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last August. Joseph is survived by his wife, Gertrude; children, Annette Adams, Paul (Barbara) Gauche, Gloria (Nick) Karras, Ronald (Laurie) Gauche and Alan (JoEllen) Gauche; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and his sister, Ann Havern. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. According to Joseph's wishes he is being cremated and no visitation will take place. Friends wishing to make remembrances on his behalf may make contributions to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at their local Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will take place at a later date.

GERWECK MARIJANE MOORE GERWICK of Troy, MI and Lake Worth, FL; born October 21, 1937 and returned to her Lord in the presence of her family January 7, 2009. Treasured wife of Richard for 25 loving years; cherished and appreciated by her children, Michelle Jackonen, Cathy (Dennis) Ellis, Michael Gerweck and Sharon Gerweck; grandchildren, Airman Nickolas Ellis, Paul Ellis, Dana Delaney, Taylor Delaney, Matthew Jackonen, Julia Jackonen; great granddaughter, Gabriella Gerardi. She graduated from Detroit College of Business and later began her 22 year career at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. During that time she finished her Bachelor and Master degrees and began teaching at Davenport University. Marijane was the most kind and generous woman whose interests included quilting, music, theatre, world travel, and attending her grandchildren's events. Granzow, Sr. and Ethel Yake Granzow. He grew up in Ferndale and graduated from Lincoln High School in January 1954. He served our country for several years in the Michigan National Guard. Mr. Granzow retired after a long and distinguished career from the Dayton-Hudson Corporation. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, playing golf and attending NASCAR races. Mr. Granzow was also a recipient of the Lifetime Shirt Off Your Back Award. He was a kind and caring person. Mr. Granzow is survived by his four sons John C. Granzow and wife Linda of Charlotte, NC, Peter R. Granzow and wife Pamela of Troy, MI, Thomas N. GROVE SUSAN SHIFLEY GROVE SUSAN GROVE Died at her home in Naples, Florida, following a brief illness. She and her husband Jerome have been Naples residents for 15 years, moving there from Detroit where her husband was President of the Center for Creative Studies. The daughter of a decorated naval officer, Susan lived in various homes around the world. Fluent in French and Spanish, she attended the Sorbonne (Paris), Cours Maintenon (Cannes), and Mount Vernon Seminary (Washington, DC). After her marriage to Jerome, she earned her Masters Degree in Psychology at Wayne State University. When she moved to Naples, she joined the staff of the David Lawrence Center as a therapist, and eventually became a Clinical Supervisor. She is preceded in death by her mother Frances Norman Shifley, and her father Vice-Admiral Ralph Shifley. She is survived by Jerome, her husband and 25-year partner. Her funeral service will be at Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church in Naples on Wednesday, January 28.
