Donald was born in Detroit on June 28, 1926 the son of Robert and Mary (McFarland) Olsen. He married Victoria Ivanac on November 9, 1946 and she survives. Besides his wife, Donald is survived by his children: Donald R. Olsen of Brooklyn, Deborah (Dan) Cook of Westland, Diana (Frank) Ohanesian of South Lyon; grandchildren: Danielle, Darcie, Lindsey and Andrew; siblings: Armand and George Olsen.
