Preceded in death by his parents Angeline (nee Roulo) and Louis and Ira LaFramboise; wife, Anna Mae; brother, James; and sisters, Alfrieda and Susan. Elton was a long time parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church and resident of Wayne, Belleville and Canton areas. He was employed as a tool and die maker for Republic Tool and Die and Hydromatic until his retirement in 1985. Elton enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and gunsmith. He moved to Canadian Lakes in August 2002. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 2nd from 5-9 p.m. at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Ave., Wayne, Michigan. LASKOWSKY HAROLD CLAIR LASKOWSKY HAROLD LASKOWSKY Age 81 of Harrison passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009. Harold was born March 13, 1927 in Detroit, MI, the son of George and Alma (Cable) Laskowsky. Mr. Laskowsky was united in marriage to Betty Ruth Taulbee on June 23, 1950 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Detroit. Mr. Laskowsky was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church—Harrison, Harrison Sportsman Club and a past member of the Clare County Sheriff Reserves. Harold earned the rank of Eagle Scout on October 16, 1944. He was an avid wildlife observer. Surviving is his loving wife, Betty R. Laskowsky of Harrison, one son, Karl (Karen) Laskowsky of Woodbridge, VA, one daughter, Cynthia (Brian) Murphy of Huntington Woods, MI, one sister, Betty Lenk of Edmund, OK, seven grandchildren: Katrina Laskowsky, Kurt Laskowsky, Emily (Franz) Rosenzweig, Eva (Nate) Mays, Patrick Murphy, Elisabeth Murphy and Dana Murphy, three loving pets: Dingo, Sheba and Bandit. LATHAM CATHERINE LATHAM CATHERINE MARYO LATHAM (nee MARYO) born October 19, 1929, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Gerald, who died in January, and loving mother of Karen (Tom) Milligan and Craig (Lynne). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Milligan and Elizabeth and Scott Latham. Kate was a devoted mother who considered raising her children her most important job. A lifelong resident of Dearborn, she delivered Meals On Wheels with her husband, and volunteered at Snow Elementary School for many years. Kate was also an accomplished artist and a member of the Sweet Adelines. LAUSMAN REV ROY E LAUSMAN REV ROY LAUSMAN  passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009. Roy served at churches in Stonyhill, Indianapolis, Royal Oak, Mt. Clemens, Lima and Middletown. He has served on numerous boards with the United Church of Christ. Roy was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois. They shared the ministry and life together for over 43 years. They had three sons, David (Carol), John (Brenda) and Mark (Eileen); along with grandchildren, Thomas, Kurt (Tracy), Tara and Krista and great-grandson, Berkley. LAW FREDERICK J LAW FREDERICK LAW age 82; of White Lake; passed away on February 2, 2009, in Clearwater, FL. Mr. Law retired from the Detroit Fire Department as a Lieutenant; served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II aboard the USS Lexington. He also was a member of the American Legion in Grand Haven, MI, and enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and watching the horses. LEKTZIAN HELEN ROSE LEKTZIAN HELEN LEKTZIAN of Ovid; age 74; born in Bicknell, IN, December 6, 1934; passed away on February 6, 2009. On this day we lost a very special person who was the best mother that any of her three children, Michael, Joan and David, could have ever imagined. For 40 years she was the loving wife of Sam Lektzian, who preceded her in death. She was also a tremendously loving and caring grandmother to her seven grandchildren, Zachery, Katy, Annabel, Amelia, Sammy, Asta and Lucy; Helen will also be greatly missed by her daughters-in-law, Stacey and Jovita, whom she loved and cared for greatly; Helen s brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Louise Branch, will also miss her deeply. Helen was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dot and Grover Branch, her sister, Ardella, and her brother, Larry. Helen was a schoolteacher for many years in the Waterford school district, and she never lost her joy for reading to and teaching her children and grandchildren. She truly did always put her family first in her life. Helen was the special kind of person whom everybody liked, and she will be deeply missed by all. She was fiercely driven to discover truth and meaning in everyone and everything she encountered. Whether it was world travel, poetry, painting or taking a trip to northern Michigan to go morel picking, she loved to experience life with passion. Her designs won awards at the B.B.A.C. Her poetry was beautifully brave and compelling. She shared her love of fine healthy food, "dressing up" to go to the opera, interior design and healing with so many friends who were on the journey with her. She showed bravery in expressing her emotions and was determined to live her final moments on her own terms. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. Beloved husband of Carol for 43 years; loving father of John Jr., Tim (Dina), and Kevin (Jennifer) Lyon; dear grandfather of Melanie, Brandon, Anna, Blake, and Megan; brother of Robert (Lori), the late Donald (Jean), and his twin sister Judy (Tom) Richardson; brother-in-law of Mary Ann (Don) Farrell, Dick (Lois), and Tom (Sandi) Johnson; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jack was a graduate and successful football player of St. Fredricks in Pontiac.
