JOHNSON, IRENE L.; age 83; the Lord wanted another angel, so Irene went to be with him on February 26, 2009. Irene was a beloved wife, lover and best friend of Chester for 53 years; loving sister to Dean (Caroline) Fowler and Diane (Douglas) Smith; also survived by her sister-in-law, Ardis Sich; she will always be loved and missed by her sweetheart dog, Holly. JONES ALBERT D JONES ALBERT JONES Longtime Detroit resident, died on November 22, 2008 in Oakland, California where he lived with Clara, his wife of 70 years. He was born in Dennis Mills, Louisiana, the only child of Rev. William H. and Venetta Jones. He graduated validictorian from high school in New Orleans and received his BS degree from New Orleans University (now Dillard University), where he was also validictorian. Albert did graduate work at Atlanta University, U of M, and WSU where he earned a MSW degree. He is survived by his wife, Clara; three children, Stanton, Vinetta, and Kenneth; two daughters-in-law; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
