FELICE GEORGE J FELICE GEORGE FELICE Of Pontiac. January 29, 2009. Age 74. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years Lois (O'Hanley) of Chicago. Dear children, Anthony Felice, Patrick Felice, Vincent (Courtney) Felice, Karen Felice, Brenda (Brian) Bolash. Adored grandchildren, Jack (8), Sadie (5), and Jason (2) Wagner, Roman (2) and Emerson (9 months) Felice, and Brielle (3 months) Bolash. Loving sister, Virginia Hasting, sister-in-law Mel Felice, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-son John M. Wagner, parents Jim and Elsie Felice, siblings, Agnes Johnson, Jenny Findlay, Henry Felice, Evelyn Smarch, and Pauline Gidcumb. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. Upon returning home from combat, he quickly founded George Felice's Market in Pontiac. He owned and operated the store for over 50 years, working up to his last days with his devoted sons. George was a man of strong work ethic and well known for his commitment to the community. He enjoyed Italian music and going to the bakery, candy shops, and being with his family. George was a loving Husband, loyal Father, and proud Papa who will be missed greatly. FERASIN EDMUND FERASIN 83, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, formerly of Eastpointe, died February 7th, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving wife Katherine, daughter Darretta, and grandson Thomas. Eddie was born in Castelfranco, Italy to Victor and Irma Ferasin. While serving in the U. S. Navy during WWII he met his loving wife Katherine of 62 years. Starting his career at Detroit Edison as a meter reader, and working a second job at JL Hudson's, he successfully graduated from Lawrence Tech and moved on to become an Edison Electrical Engineer. Eddie retired from DTE after 43 years of service in 1991. Eddie loved art and design, and high-end audio. He used his skillfulness to build a variety of things including furniture, audio components, and beautiful accents for his cherished works of art. He was an avid WWII history buff, and pursued good health by swimming, diving and rollerblading, at Metro Beach until age 76. Dear father to Darretta and Timothy (Mary Ann) Ferasin. Eddie is predeceased by his parents, brothers Gino and Alfred, and sister Lilly. Friends may call Wednesday February 11 from 2-9 p.m. at E. J. FLIS DAVID DOMINIC FLIS DAVID FLIS of Little Rock, Arkansas, age 65. Died peacefully at his home February 19, 2009. He was born on March 16, 1943 in Detroit and attended De La Salle High School and MSU. In 1966 he married Florence Grozenski and was employed as a teacher. He later began to work in the fast food industry for the McDonalds Corp. In 1979 he moved his family to Little Rock AR and became a franchisee with Burger King and opened his first restaurant. His company, Flis Enterprises, has now grown to 15 Burger King restaurants in the greater LIttle Rock area. Dave is preceded in death by his parents Dominic and Lillian Flis and by the mother of his children Florence Flis. Dear father of Dominic (Shelly) Flis, Karen (Jeff) Smith, Christopher (Akiko) Flis. FRESHEL NELDA LEE FRESHEL NELDA FRESHEL Age 76, of Allen Park (formerly of Detroit) passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Nelda was born on January 24, 1933 in Detroit to Harold and Jessie Bauer. She graduated from Detroit Cooley High School. She married David Freshel on September 5, 1952. During their marriage, they welcomed a daughter and two sons into their lives. Nelda earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Wayne State University and taught elementary school in Lincoln Park for more than thirty years. She loved working with children and touched the lives of many. In addition to teaching, her passions included art, music, gardening, and, first and foremost, her family. She was an exceptional lady who took every opportunity to praise the best in others. Even in sickness, she never missed the chance to say a kind word to those who cared for her. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends, her neighbors, former students and everyone who had the honor of knowing her. In life, she taught us to love. In sickness, she taught us strength. In death, she teaches us to live with grace. Nelda is survived by her husband David, daughter Paula (Janda), son William, son Roger, sister Charlane (Wainwright), son-in-law Wally (Janda), daughter-in-law Hsiao-Yu (Hsia), daughter-in-law Tammy (Bevins), grandchildren Jessica and Marlena (Janda), and Johnathan and Janice Freshel. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Church in Garden City, Michigan. In lieu of flowers. He retired from Rochester Community Schools in 2000, and moved to Fairview in 2002. Though Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and horseback riding his biggest joy was helping others and serving his church in any way he could. But above all, his greatest joy and comfort was reading his bible. He attended The New Hope Assemblyof God Church in Mio MI. Henry is survived by his wife Carol J. (Ingram) Fultz; two daughters, Mary J. (Scott) Wood of Oxford, Deanna L. (Carl) Hager of Oxford; and son William C. Fultz, of Mio; brother Denny A. (Nadine) Fultz; sister Mattie S.
