SALVATI JAMES SALVATI age 65 and a resident of Dearborn Heights, passed away on March 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Carmen Salvati. He is survived by daughters, Janet (Christopher) Zarlenga of Milford, Karen (Stephen) Gardner of Bakersfield, CA, son, Tim (Cassandra) Salvati of Milford and their mother, Constance Salvati. He also leaves his dear companion, Jill Kovacik; grandchildren, Elena Zarlenga, Julia and Jack Salvati. Mr. Salvati owned and operated Collision Repair Shops in Garden City, Detroit, South Lyon and Ann Arbor for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, barbecuing, parties and spending time at his cottage on Houghton Lake.Big Jim , and his larger than life personality, will always be remembered as the life of the party and a great dad and grandpa.
