ABRAMOVICH MARILYN GRETTA ABRAMOVICH born June 14, 1934; passed March
12, 2009; born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada; moved to the United States
in 1958; Lynn passed away from complications of heart failure. Survived
by her husband, Frank Abramovich; daughter, Susan Abramovich; son, Mark
Abramovich; son-in-law, Jeff McCarty; and brother, Tom Mailloux. Marilyn
was a loving homemaker for her family in Union Lake, MI (Commerce
Township). She was a paper carrier for The Oakland Press. She also
worked in food services for the Walled Lake School system and Meijer. A
private cremation service has been performed by the family. Memorial
service to be announced in the coming weeks.
ADDIS CLIFFORD ADDIS Longtime resident of Eastpointe, died peacefully
February 25, 2009 at the age of 55. Former employee of Gilco Spring
Manufacturer. Cliff loved to work with children as a coach of the
M.A.H.A. and the Little Ceasars Hockey Program. Loving son of William
and the late Jewell. Dearest brother of Sandra (David) Schelosky and
Glenn Addis. Cherished uncle of David (Dianne) and Matthew (Kayli)
Schelosky, Jason Addis and Matthew Thiel. Great uncle of Will, Molly and
Jeremy Schelosky. A loving and caring man, Cliff will be missed by many

AIELLO JEROME AIELLO Lovable, easy-going dad and husband, left this life on
March 29th. He loved his family, his work, and his life, and never desired
for anything more. The words to "What a Wonderful World" characterizes how
he felt about life. His work as a stonemason left lasting monuments you can
see and touch. After serving in World War II, he worked for the Detroit
Public Schools for 30 years. He is survived by devoted spouse Joan, six
children Toni, Bobbie, Jim, Frank, Mary and Paula; 12 grandchildren, and two
great-grandchildren; and blessed with children, Matthew and Tracy, five
grandchildren and five great grandchildren by marriage. He often cited an
old cartoon, captioned, "Sam Died Today," showing a shuttered shop with a
wreath on the door, that also showed children and adults playing and
carrying on with their lives all around. As such, we are honoring his wish
with no memorial service, but with his desire that you remember him joyfully
in your heart.

ALLEN age 83; of White Lake; passed away on March 7, 2009. Mrs. Allen
retired from the US Post Office-West Bloomfield Branch. While working at the
post office, her co-workers nicknamed her Charlie Brown for her optimistic
look on life. During W.W. II, she was part of the Women's Ordinance Worker
program. She was an expert needlewoman, winning many awards. Loving wife of
the late Wayne B.; dear mother of Avis (the late Steve) Hermans, Sue (John)
Buchanan, Wayne (Judith) Allen, Ted (Diane) Allen, Cathy (Dennis) McKim;
proud grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 14; caring sister of Molly

SYLVESTER T ALLEN SR SYLVESTER ALLEN SR Born in Valdosta, Georgia on June
11, 1925. He was raised in Plant City, Florida as a Seventh Day Adventist.
He and his wife Juanita (dec. 2002) were members of the Community Fellowship
Seventh Day Adventist Church. He met Juanita at Oakwood College in
Huntsville, Alabama and from their marriage of 52 years came three children;
Cheryl, Sylvester, Jr., and Collette. Sylvester retired from the United
States Government TACOM Division in 1983 after 30 years as a Chemical
Engineer. He and Juanita were world travelers, they completed 31 world
cruises. He made his transition Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Providence
Hospital. Funeral Thursday March 19, at the Community Fellowship Seventh Day
Adventist Church at 11 a.m.

chaplain for St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. His past 30 years were tirelessly
devoted to his missionary work in Guatemala and Ecuador through O.C.I.M.A.,

CLAYTON ARENS HOWARD ARENS Of Davison, age 88, passed away Friday, March 20,
2009 at his residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 p.m. Wednesday,
March 25, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton
St., Davison. Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will follow in
St. John Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m.
Monday and 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd.,
Davison and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church. A
Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Howard
was born in Detroit, MI on April 9, 1920 son of the late Francis and Ruth
(Pepin) Arens. He married Dorothy Graves on October 16, 1948 and she
preceded him in death on August 5, 2004. Howard was a member of St. John the
Evangelist Catholic Church and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air
Force during WWII, where he was a radio operator on a B-29 plane. He worked
for the Detroit Free Press before retiring in 1983. Howard is survived by
his daughters, Katherine (Paul) Dombrowski, Peggy (Donald) Soullier,
Elizabeth (Ronald) Saad; son, Paul (Peggy Jo) Arens. Beloved grandfather of,
Nicholas (Jennifer) Saad, Kelly Rose (Colin) Arens-Whitney, Kevin (Jennifer)
Arens, Maggie (Jeremy) Ignace, Summer-Lynn Dombrowski. Proud
great-grandfather of Jacob Lane Arens; great-granddaughter, Angel Girl. He

AXLER JOAN AXLER of Troy; died peacefully March 11, 2009, at William
Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak; she was 49 years old. Joan was born
September 25, 1959, in Highland Park to parents, Frederick G. Bromm and Cleo
Marie Dei. She grew up in Madison Heights and graduated from Madison High
School in 1978. On April 20, 1979, she married Mark Axler. Together they
raised two children, William and Amanda. Joan worked as a purchasing agent
for IE & E Industries, In-Tronics Incorporated and finally Malibu
Technologies Incorporated. She loved gardening, reading, and quilting, but
mostly enjoyed spending time with her loving family, especially her
grandchildren. Joan is survived by her husband, Mark W. Axler; son, William
(Angela) Axler; and daughter, Amanda (Aaron) Duke; she is also survived by
her grandchildren, Noah and Eli Duke; mother, Cleo M. Bromm; siblings,
Frederick (Anita) Bromm, Joseph (Kathy) Bromm, Janice (Edward) Stanichuk,
Rose (John) Riesenberger, Nancy (Dennis) Eddy, Laura (Bruce) Saperstein,
James Bromm and Clifford (Jackie) Bromm; and many nieces and nephews. Joan
