Passed away peacefully late Friday, April 10th. Nicknamed "Peppy" by her
parents, the late John & Veronica of Scranton, PA, Alice's life was
characterized by her boundless energy and selfless devotion to family.
Wife to the late Joseph Edward and loving mother to Alicia (Ronald)
Kowalski, Christine (Charles) Foster, Linda (Bill) Friedrich and Joseph
M. Yarusavage. She also holds a special place in the hearts of her
grandchildren: Steven Kowalski, Susan (John) Hennessey and Jessie (Joe)
Sanchez; and her great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Dominik, Samantha, Aidan
and Owen. When they were with her they knew they were loved. Throughout
her life Alice loved to cook for large family gatherings, had a green
thumb when it came to gardening, enjoyed painting, and passed on her
love of reading to her children. In her later years, Parkinson's
deprived her of the independence she so cherished, but never dampened
her caring spirit. It continues to inspire all who love and miss her. A
memorial service is being planned for a later date.
