ROBERT GAMBLE JAMES ROBERT JAMES On April 20, 2009, Robert Gamble James,
76, of Bel Air, Maryland. Beloved husband of Ellen M. Sabo James.
Devoted father of Janet C. James and husband Thomas Benzing, Stephen R.
James and wife Kathleen Tobin-James, and Christine M. Bruns and husband
David Bruns. Loving brother of Isabel Bath and husband Clifford Bath of
Bloomfield Hills. Also survived by grandchildren Catherine and Alexander
Bruns, Jenna Benzing, and Sarah and Margot James. Born in Detroit, MI,
he was the son of Marian Wilson James and Arthur Edwin James, the
Questions and Answers Man for the Detroit News for several decades. He
graduated from Mackenzie High School in 1951. He served in the U.S.
Army. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from
Wayne State University in 1955, and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha
fraternity. In 1963 he married Ellen Sabo, whom he met while they were
both working as engineers for the City of Detroit. While in Detroit he
worked on the plans for many interstate highways around the area
including the Jeffries and Fisher Freeways, and was the safety inspector
for the Belle Isle Bridge. In 1966 he earned his Master of Science in
Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan. In 1968 he moved his
family to Glen Arm, MD. In 1974 he became a founding partner of Century
Engineering, Inc. He earned his professional engineering license in
seven states. He was integral in the design and construction of many of
the region's major civil infrastructure facilities including the
Washington, D.C. Metro, the Kent Narrows Bridge, and Back River Water
Treatment Plant. He then worked for Gannett Fleming and as a consultant
for the City of Baltimore Department of Public Works. After retiring in
1999, he enjoyed drawing and painting and remained active as a community
volunteer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009, 11:00
am, at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Abingdon, MD. In lieu of

ALEXIS NIKKOLE JOHNSON ALEXIS JOHNSON BELLY JOHNSON age 8; Auburn Hills;
April 10, 2009. Loving daughter of Richard Johnson (Rhonda Taylor) and
Renee Harmon (Damian Griffin); dear sister of Amanda, Ashley and Amber
Johnson, Brook Lilly, Michael Avery and Betina, Trisha, Kimmy and
Brittany Travnikar; also survived by many more loving family members and
friends. Alexis "Belly" Johnson was a little entertainer at heart, a
girl who's greatest desire in life was to give love and happiness to
everyone who surrounded her. An active member of the Rochester Hills
Baptist Church and Christian Schools, Alexis would fulfill her days by
giving endlessly to those she loved and has continued to do so in death.
Alexis's parents have donated her organs to those who can now embrace
Alexis within them to continue both her and their journey through life.

JOHNSON Age 81, April 21, 2009 of Beverly Hills, MI. Beloved husband of
Anita (Deutsch). Father of Russell (Gin) Johansson, Mark Johnson and
Kristine Seymour. Loving grandfather of Alex, Kayann, Lauren, Austin and
Mary. Brother of Arlette (Bob) Stock and Darlene (Harry) Bolz. Arvid was
born in Chicago, Illinois on January 19, 1928. He served in the Navy in
1946-1948. He moved to Michigan in 1952 and lived in Farmington and
later Beverly Hills. He was a partner in the sales agency of Frank J.
Brady and Associates and later formed AWJ and Associates. He was
President and CEO of Specialty Screw Corporation of Rockford, IL. He was
a long standing member of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church,
Bloomfield Hills, MI and a member in the Thorn Ministry at St. Brendans
Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. He served on the board of
Goodwill Industries of Detroit. He was a Senior member at the Detroit
Athletic Club and a Lifetime Member at Meadowbrook Country Club.

2009. Edna was a long time resident of Detroit. Edna graduated from
Southwestern High School in 1939 and later worked as a buyer at
Crowley's, manager for Hudson's, and worked for Schweitzer Real Estate.
Edna is a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Cornerstone Baptist
Church. Beloved wife of the late Norwood Jr. Loving mother of Norwood
Wallace (Pamela M. O'Hara) Johnson. Sister of the late William Paul
Wallace and sister-in-law of Bryan (Mary Elizabeth) Johnson. Aunt of

MAX W JOZWIAK MAX JOZWIAK a resident of White Lake Township, died on
April 1, 2009, after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident. He
was 75 years old. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vickie; a
daughter, Janet (Greg) Martin of NY; son, John (fiancée Andrea Voss
Megliola) Jozwiak; brothers, Chester, Norbert (Teresa), Erwin (Karyn)
Jozwiak, sisters, Christina Dugan, Loretta (Russell) Wing and many
nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by sisters,
Louise Bovair and Ruth Ellen Jozwiak. Mr. Jozwiak was well known for his
work with the New England Life Insurance Company, for which he has
served as an Agent for over forty years, and for his love and support
for Michigan State University and its Varsity Alumni Club. Max was a
loving husband to Vickie for over fifty one years and a loving devoted
father to John and Janet and his son-in-law, Greg. He dearly loved all
his family, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and highly valued long
time and new friends, treasured the many trout fishing times with
cherished friends. He was totally dedicated to his Life Insurance
clients. No one can deny that he was the most avid, loyal Michigan State
University fan and supporter that ever was. His willing helpfulness and
