EDWARD A DANIEL EDWARD DANIEL age 84; of Commerce; passed away on April
18, 2009. Mr. Daniel was an Army veteran and proudly served his country
during W.W. II. He was an educator in music and taught for the Pontiac
school system. When he was not spending time with his family, he enjoyed
archery, wood carving and lapidary. Beloved husband of 61 years to
Norma; proud father of Deborah Crotty, Judith Daniel, Anne (Kerry)
Scott, Victoria (Erick) Clasman, Catherine (Roger) Daniel-Deboer; caring
grandfather of Lucas, Sean, Christopher, Zachary, Valerie, Samantha and
Sydney; brother of Theodore Daniel and Joyce Szymczyk; along with

JERZY G DANILUK JERZY DANILUK Age 78. March 30, 2009. Beloved husband of
the late Anna. Dear father of Monika (Marko) Shumylo. Adored grandfather
(Dziadzio) of Christian and Sophia Shumylo. Survior of Polish Uprising
during WWII. Immigrated to the U.S. in 1965 and began working at Ford
Motor Co. from which he retired 32 years later. He will be truly missed
by all of his family and friends. Funeral service Friday 9:30 a.m. at

DARGA LEON DARGA Age 82, of White Lake; passed away on April 4, 2009.
Mr. Darga was a master bricklayer for over 50 years, working on the many
commercial buildings in the Detroit area. He also was a member of St.
Patrick Catholic Church, and served in the US Army Aircorps. Beloved
husband of 63 years to Ruth. Dear father of Susan Rusiecki, Karen Darga,
Charles (Linda) Darga, Michael (Deborah) Darga, Jane Darga, Leon, Jr.
(Sharon) Darga, and Peter (Colleen) Darga. Proud grandfather of 16 and
great-grandfather of 7. Caring brother of Maryann Neumann and Rosemarie

Clair Shores, died April 19, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Dear

GLENN DANE DAVIS GLENN DAVIS Age 79, passed away on April 2, 2009 at his
home after a long illness. He was born on March 29, 1930 in Detroit, the
son of the late Carl and Nellie Davis. He attended Georgetown College in
Kentucky and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On June 4,
1951, he married Jean Nickora. He is survived by his wife of 58 years,
Jean; two daughters, Denise (Tom) Miller and Dawn (Richard) Fox, three
sons, Scott (Sandi) Davis, Kurt (Barb) Davis and Lance (Marcia) Davis;
thirteen grandchildren, Ryan (Angela) and Sarah Miller, Kelly (Dan)
Weier, Erik and Brett Fox, Drake, Logan, Dane, Nolan and Adam Davis,
Erik, Ryan and Candice Carlson; two great-grandchildren, Ian and
Isabella Weier. Also survived by sister, Nancy Bissett and many nieces
and nephews. He was predeseased by his sister, Barbara Kelley and
brother Sidney. Glenn was an avid outdoorsman and artist who loved to
spend time at his homes on Harsens Island and Hawks, Michigan. He left
behind many beautiful award winning duck decoys that he hand carved and
painted. Before his retirement he worked for the State of Michigan,
Macomb County and the City of Warren. Glenn was cremated and there will
be a private ceremony at a later date. Memorial contributions can be

JAMES O DeWITT JAMES DeWITT 78, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday,
April 13, 2009 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on January 30, 1931
in Wyandotte, MI. to Wayne and Mildred DeWitt. James worked in the Steel
Industry for 38 years, including McLouth Steel for 32 years and
Razorback Steel for 6 years. James was a wonderful and caring husband,
father, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed, but he has left us
with so many great memories of his love and humor that we will cherish
forever. James is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Steel, Susan (Mark)
Oldham, Linda (James) Malvesto and Beth (Mark) Beach; grandchildren,
Brandon, Sarah and Alison; great-granddaughter, Ava; siblings, Fred
(Carolyn) DeWitt and Louise (Roger) Lance and his canine companion,

DIEM ROBERT LEO DIEM ROBERT DIEM Died Friday, April 24, 2009 at Borgess
Medical Center, Kalamazoo, MI. Mr. Diem was born October 5, 1921 in
Carsonville, MI, the son of Leo and Margaret (Maher) Diem. He was known
locally as "The General". He had retired from management at
Kraft/General Foods in 1982. Surviving are his wife Estelle; 3 children
and their spouses, Marcia and Jim Connell of Allegan, Robert and Kathryn
Diem of Shingle Springs, California and Gregory and Diane Diem of St.
Charles, Illinois; five grandchildren, Robert, Renee, Ian, Ryan, and

DELPHINE G DOLKOWSKI DELPHINE DOLKOWSKI Age 85 of Sterling Heights,
beloved wife of the late Hillard Anthony, died in the arms of Jesus,
April 11, 2009. Mrs. Dolkowski will be lovingly remembered by her six
children, Larry (Debbie), Michael (Dona), Robert (Sue), Donald (Judy)
Dolkowski, Jacqueline (Hank) Pierik, and Suzann (Dolkowski) Wheatly;
thirteen grandchildren, Scott, Shelly (Jeff), Todd (Lisa), Kelley
(Vince), Candice, Michelle, Laura, Michale, Alexis and Jack; two great
grandchildren, Ricardo and T. J.; surviving sister Sylvia Opatich. Mrs.
Dolkowski was employed by the federal government for 17 years and was
recognized for her loyal service at the 1987 Pan American Olympic Games
held in Indianapolis. Mrs. Dolkowski was an accomplished violinist and
gifted seamstress. As a young woman Mrs. Dolkowski shared a passion for
ballroom dancing with Hillard, family and friends at the Greystone
Ballroom on Woodward Avenue. Mrs. Dolkowski enjoyed volunteering her
time as a Boy Scout den mother for 9 years. Delphine and Hillard took
every opportunity to travel both domestically and abroad. Delphine died
peacefully at home with her family by her side. Visitation Wednesday 2-8
